Develop innovative solutions to for families, individuals and communities so they may have safe, stable housing as the foundation for success.

The Task Force will have working groups and provide recommendations in three areas:

The Minnesota Interagency Council on Homelessness, comprising the Commissioners of 11 State agencies and Governor Mark Dayton’s office, has historically led State's efforts to create a shared vision of housing stability for every Minnesotan.

First drafted in 2013, Heading Home Minnesota's Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness was a two year action plan intended to guide the state's work toward that shared vision. The original plan was refreshed in 2016. State government cannot end homelessness along, so the plan identifies critical partnerships needed to achieve the goals.  The plan aligns with Opening Doors: Federal Strategic Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness and with many local and regional plans in place throughout the state. It also relies and draws on the many contributions of Minnesota's strong private and nonprofit communities for ideas, resources and ongoing support

In 2018 Heading Home Together continued the work of Minnesota's Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness. Click here to learn more about each of the plans.
